hicago’s Hyde Park all aglow! In an attempt to break up the current string of Berlin-focused posts on here, I thought I’d link to some amazing photographic work done by Justin Kern (Flickr Photoset), a graduate of the University of Chicago who decided to document the Oxford-esque neo-gothic campus before leaving. The photos have all been done using HDR (High Dynamic Range photography), which takes several pictures of the exact same scene with different settings and then combines them to create an image that preserves a wider range of detail, color, and brightness. Here are some of my favorite, including an aerial shot of the campus by night (rather dystopian-looking) and some images from inside some of the more interesting buildings.
